The Corrugated Industry is extremely proud of our record in producing sustainable packaging. being friendly to the environment is nothing new to us. We have for many years recycled all of our scrap material in box plants and mills. We have also been the leading industry in promoting post consumer recycling. Nealrly 80% of all corrugated boxes are recycled back into new paper production. As opposed to plastic materials,many of which are not recyclable, corrugated is 100% recyclable and often made from 100% recycled fibers.
Organizations like the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters, Corrgated Packaging Alliance, Fibre Box Association, and the American Forest & Paper Association have been central in promoting and developing sustainable strategies for the industry.
